The Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 11 player draft is underway, with both domestic and international players going under the hammer. A total of 880 players were registered, and each franchise had a budget equivalent to $1.6 million for player acquisitions.In the fast bowlers’ category, Naseem Shah was the top pick, with Rawalpindi selecting him for PKR 8.65 crore. Lahore Qalandars secured Haris Rauf for PKR 7.6 crore.Among all-rounders, Darryl Mitchell joined Rawalpindi for PKR 8.05 crore, while T20 captain Salman Ali Agha was bought by Karachi Kings for PKR 5.85 crore.In the batters’ category, David Warner attracted major attention, going to Karachi Kings for PKR 7.9 crore, and Riley Rossouw joined Quetta Gladiators for PKR 5.55 crore. Wicket-keeper Sahibzada Farhan was acquired by the Stallions for PKR 5.7 crore. Several notable players, including Shakib Al Hasan and Imad Wasim, went unsold this season.After retentions, the remaining budgets for franchises are: Islamabad United PKR 34.6 crore, Karachi Kings PKR 32.26 crore, Lahore Qalandars PKR 31.36 crore, Quetta Gladiators PKR 27.54 crore, and Peshawar Zalmi PKR 27.96 crore.PSL Chief Executive Salman Naseer stated that player registration this year was higher than ever. With the addition of two new teams, the competition in the league is expected to be even tougher.Season 11 is set to begin on March 26, 2026, with a total of eight teams competing for the trophy.
