UAE’s Federal Tax Authority
From January 1, 2026, the UAE’s Federal Tax Authority will end fees for paper tax certificates. Paper tax registration certificates and certified warehouse keeper documents will no longer be issued. Businesses will receive free digital certificates instead, each with a QR code that allows instant online verification of registration status. The move supports the UAE’s plan to shift tax services online, cut paperwork, and reduce costs for companies.
At the same time, the Federal Tax Authority will introduce two new fees for Advance Pricing Agreement applications from the same date. These applications are mainly used by large companies for transfer pricing planning, marking a targeted change alongside the wider shift to digital tax services.
