Protests Erupt Over Alleged NEET-UG Paper Leak, Parliament Disrupted

Protests have intensified in India over the alleged leak of the NEET-UG 2026 exam paper. Thousands of students and opposition supporters marched toward Parliament under tight security, demanding accountability from the government.
The opposition’s demand for a detailed discussion on the issue disrupted proceedings in both houses of Parliament on the first day of the Monsoon Session, with lawmakers on both sides trading accusations over the handling of the exam process.
Separately, heavy rainfall in Jammu and Kashmir has hampered flood relief operations, with the death toll climbing to 12 and several people still missing. Authorities say rescue teams remain deployed in the worst-hit areas as the monsoon continues to bring disruptive weather across the region.
